Principal Tenure Management

Stanmore Resources is seeking an experienced Principal Tenure Management to lead the management and optimisation of our Queensland mining tenure portfolio. The role is responsible for securing and maintaining the tenure required to support Stanmore's operations, growth strategy and future project pipeline. Acting as Stanmore's Authorised Holder Representative and tenure subject matter expert, you will provide strategic advice, lead regulatory engagement and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver critical business outcomes.

As Principal Tenure Management, you will:

  • Lead the management and optimisation of Stanmore's mining tenure portfolio across Queensland.
  • Deliver complex tenure projects, including applications, renewals, transfers, relinquishments, development plans, work programs and other tenure dealings.
  • Develop and maintain compliance and tracking systems to ensure statutory obligations, key milestones and project requirements are achieved.
  • Manage tenure submissions and administration
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and strategic advice on tenure matters across the business.
  • Develop and implement tenure portfolio strategies that support Stanmore's growth and business objectives.
  • Assess legislative, policy and industry developments and provide advice on emerging risks and opportunities.
  • Support growth projects, acquisitions and divestments through tenure due diligence and strategic input.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, regulators, industry bodies and key stakeholders.
  • Represent Stanmore in industry forums and consultation processes.

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • A degree in mine planning, geology, engineering, environmental science or a related discipline.
  • At least five years' experience in a similar tenure, land access, regulatory or resources-related role.
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland mining tenure legislation, regulatory frameworks and government processes.
  • Proven experience managing tenure-related matters and providing strategic advice on regulatory and business issues.
  • Experience developing and implementing tenure portfolio strategies that support operational and growth objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and regulatory negotiations.
  • Experience leading projects involving multiple workstreams, competing priorities and complex regulatory requirements.
  • Strong commercial awareness and the ability to balance compliance, risk and business outcomes.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and GIS applications.
  • Excellent analytical, communication and report-writing skills.
  • A self-motivated, solution-focused approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a complex regulatory environment.
