Reporting to the CHPP Operations Supervisor, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated CHPP Operator / Maintainer to join our team on a lifestyle roster. In this hands-on role, you'll play a critical part in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our Coal Handling and Preparation Plant (CHPP) and Train Load Out facilities.
About the Role
As a valued member of the CHPP team, you will be responsible for supporting both operational and maintenance activities across the plant. Working in a dynamic environment, you'll contribute to achieving production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, housekeeping and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards by identifying, reporting and managing hazards and risks.
- Safely operate and monitor the CHPP and Train Load Out systems to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Conduct routine, planned and breakdown maintenance activities to maximise equipment reliability.
- Operate a range of mobile equipment, including:
- Wheel Loaders
- Stockpile Dozers
- Skid Steers
- Telehandlers
- Perform plant housekeeping and general clean-up activities to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Collaborate with team members and provide support across a variety of CHPP activities within your skills, training and competency levels.
- Contribute to a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
About You
You are a safety-focused team player with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. You thrive in a practical, hands-on environment and enjoy being part of a team that works together to achieve results.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience operating and/or maintaining equipment within a CHPP or similar processing environment.
- Mobile equipment operating experience, ideally including loaders, dozers and skid steers.
- A demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and company values.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.
- A proactive attitude, enthusiasm to learn and a genuine desire to develop new skills.
- The ability to build positive working relationships and contribute to a respectful workplace culture.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Mechanical or Electrical Trade Qualification.
- Current RII competencies.
- High Risk Work Licences.
- Additional maintenance experience within mining or processing operations.
