Our Isaac Plains Mine is a metallurgical coal mine owned and operated by Stanmore and located 20km's outside of Moranbah.  

The Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Contracts Advisor to join our site team and play a key role in contractor management and contract compliance. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will ensure contractors are effectively managed, compliant with contracts, and supported in delivering safe, high-quality outcomes. You will work closely with operational supervisors, department managers, and the corporate supply team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Key point of contact on site for contracts and service agreements.
  • Implementation and maintenance of processes and routines to ensure contractors are reporting accurately and managed effectively.
  • Thorough understanding of contracts in place, to review claim accuracy and to comply with contract terms.
  • Assist with implementing and advising on new contractual agreements.
  • Coach and influence contract owners to drive contract compliance and financial outcomes.
  • Maintain and monitor the contractor compliance including in-field audit completion, data records, appropriate actions and communications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within and external to the business.
  • Provide safety management support to actively assist in reducing incidents for sitewide contractors.
  • Identify and monitor compliance with relevant policies, procedures and Queensland Coal Mining legislative requirements.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience in contractor or contract management, ideally in coal mining industry.
  • Certificate in RIIPRM501E Implement, Monitor, Rectify and Report on Contracts is desirable.
  • Understanding of CMSH legislation within the Queensland Coal Mining sector.
  • Experience in SAP and proficiency in Excel highly desirable.
  • Experience in supervising or previously held a Supervisory appointment.
  • Flexible, proactive, and able to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Confident in liaising with various stakeholders (internal and external) to ensure compliance with site Safety & Health Management System.
