We are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to support our Queensland coal operation and help deliver safe, compliant, and responsible mining.
Reporting to the Environment Principal, you will provide practical, risk‑based environmental support to site operations, ensuring compliance with Queensland environmental legislation, Environmental Authorities (EA), and mining approvals, in line with Stanmore Values.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands‑on environmental support to operational teams
  • Ensure compliance with EA conditions, the Environmental Protection Act 1994 (Qld), and site approvals
  • Support environmental inspections, audits, incident response, and investigations
  • Manage monitoring, reporting, and corrective actions
  • Partner with leaders to drive environmental performance and continuous improvement
  • Promote strong environmental leadership aligned to Stanmore’s safety and values‑based culture
About You
  • Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science e.g. Environmental Diploma, Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or similar
  • Demonstrated environmental advisory experience within coal mining or resources
  • Sound knowledge of Queensland environmental legislation and approvals
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Practical, solution‑focused, and safety‑driven
