About the Role
Stanmore Resources Poitrel Mine have a role available for a Electrical Engineering Manager/Maintenance Superintendent and you will be responsible for managing onsite Electrical Engineering activities as well as managing contractor maintenance compliance by providing specialist technical expertise to Poitrel Mine.
In this role,
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineering Manager/Maintenance Superintendent to lead and manage all electrical operations and maintenance activities across our mine site. Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of electrical systems, as well as driving strategic improvements in alignment with business objectives. You will ensure electrical compliance to Australian and Stanmore standards as well as manage all infrastructure activities onsite.
The roles will be based at Poitrel Mine working Monday to Friday with a flexible 9 day fortnight available.
In this role you will:
- Be first and foremost focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader.
- Build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams, seeking to understand our customer’s needs and managing to their expectations.
- Provide Electrical guidance and technical support to Engineering, Project Managers and Maintenance.
- Review, update and approve the Electrical technical documentation.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement of Electrical Assets in collaboration with site and external parties.
- Provide specialist engineering expertise and ensure robust change control processes and documentation standards are followed.
- Provides engineering subject matter expertise with respect to technical discipline(s) for the operation to multiple groups; and
- Provide engineering technical services to the operation to ensure relevant standards are met and align to designed/agreed operating principles
- Oversee the design, installation, maintenance, and compliance of all electrical systems and equipment on-site.
- Lead a team of electrical engineers, technicians, and contractors, fostering a culture of safety, teamwork, and excellence.
- Develop and manage electrical maintenance plans to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards, including Australian mining and electrical codes.
- Collaborate with other departments to support production goals and address operational challenges.
- Manage budgets, resources, and procurement related to electrical projects and maintenance activities.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives in electrical systems and processes.
- Provide expert guidance during audits, inspections, and incident investigations involving electrical systems.
- Manage contract maintenance compliance
- Provide relief maintenance execution duties as required (Some Dayshift roster may be involved)

You will have:
- Trade Qualification or Tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering. RPEQ (Registered Professional Engineer QLD) qualification is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written along with your ability to influence stakeholders, providing sufficient communications to gain agreement and commitment.
- Proven background working in complex environments to achieve results at an operations level.
- Required for role: An EEM qualification/ competency underpinned by an understanding of engineering principles, standards and processes, along with drawing management and document control databases.

- Required for role: Knowledge of electrical infrastructure, CHPP and project work
- Demonstrated proficiency in the full suite of microsoft products (excel, project, etc) and SAP experience an advantage
- Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
- Good understanding of maintenance systems and planning concepts.
- Ability to work to deadlines within a dynamic, fast paced environment
- A proven track record of Safety within an operational environment.
